Subscription terms

Last updated: 26 October 2026

In force from 21 October 2026

1. Who sells

The seller of THE BUSINESS TIME subscriptions is ARGONAUTS MEDIA GROUP LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales under number 17391608, address: 4th Floor, 18 St. Cross Street, London EC1N 8UN, United Kingdom. Contact: [email protected].

2. What you buy

A subscription gives access to content marked as available to subscribers on the-businesstime.com (e.g. analyses, investigations with documents, extended guides, the blog, downloadable materials), on one account. News and general guides remain free.

3. Plans and prices

  • Trial – 7 days free. No card required. After 7 days access expires automatically. We do not charge anything and we do not turn the trial into a paid subscription without your decision. The trial is available once per person.
  • Monthly subscription – £5.00 per month.
  • Annual subscription – £39.00 for 12 months.

Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). You always see the price to pay before you buy. Payments are handled by Stripe (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay). We do not store your card details.

4. Renewal

Paid subscriptions renew automatically for a further period if you choose automatic renewal when you buy. Before an annual subscription renews, we will send you an email reminder with the date and amount. We will tell you about any price change in advance – the new price applies only from the next period, and you can cancel before then.

5. Cancelling – as easy as buying

You can cancel at any time on the My account page (the “Cancel” button) or by writing to the address given in section 1. After cancelling, access continues until the end of the paid period and no further payments are taken.

6. Right to cancel (14 days)

As a consumer you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason. If you ask for immediate access to content when buying, use it and then withdraw, we will refund the amount reduced proportionally for the period in which you had access. We send the refund by the same payment method within 14 days.

7. Your account and use of content

The account is personal. Content is protected by copyright: it may not be copied, shared with others or distributed without the publisher’s written permission. We may suspend an account for a serious breach of these rules – we will tell you beforehand.

8. Complaints

Send complaints (e.g. no access despite payment) to the address in section 1. We will reply within 14 days.

9. Personal data

We process data in accordance with UK GDPR and the EU GDPR – details in the Privacy policy. We do not sell your data.

10. Governing law

The contract is governed by the law of England and Wales. This does not limit your consumer rights under the law of the country where you live.
