Deleting your account and data
On this page we explain how to delete your account on the website and app of THE BUSINESS TIME (publisher: ARGONAUTS MEDIA GROUP LIMITED, company no. 17391608) and what data we delete.
How to request account deletion
- Send an email to [email protected] with the subject “Account deletion” – from the email address linked to your account.
- Or write to us via the chat on the website or in the app (the “Talk to a live agent” option).
- You can cancel an active subscription beforehand in the My accountsection.
We will confirm receipt of your request and delete your account within 30 days.
What data we delete
- account data: name, email address, login and password,
- chat history and messages sent to the newsroom,
- newsletter settings and saved preferences,
- location information, if it was shared.
What data we may keep
We keep payment and invoice data for as long as tax and accounting law requires (in the UK usually 6 years). We do not store full card numbers – they are handled by the payment provider.
