Statistics Poland: retail sales rose by 3.3% year on year in September – less than forecast. Cars and online sales are up, fuel and clothing down. Business sentiment is also weakening.

Poland's energy minister has cut the maximum fuel prices in force from Tuesday 20 October: 95 petrol – 6.79 zł, 98 petrol – 7.56 zł, diesel – 7.97 zł a litre. The “Ceny Paliwa Niżej” programme is set to run until the end of 2026.
A Polish Finance Ministry draft moves the start of penalties for errors in the National e-Invoicing System (KSeF) back by a year – from 1 January 2027 to 1 January 2028. It also matters to Poles living in the UK who run a business in Poland.
The Scottish Government has allocated money from the Marine Fund Scotland. It will go to crew safety, modern nets and research into fish stocks, among other things.
