The UK will give Ukraine a further £10bn of economic and military support. The package includes World Bank guarantees, £500m for air defence and a higher UK Export Finance limit, which UK businesses can also benefit from.
The government and Rolls-Royce have signed an agreement to build a new generation of aircraft engines in the UK. The joint £2.5bn programme is to support 3,300 jobs until 2029 and create tens of thousands of new jobs in the following decades.
Chancellor John Healey has presented the Budget. The minimum wage will rise to £13.21, 20 million homes in England will receive £100 for energy, and the fuel duty cut stays. From April 2027, however, tax on interest and rent will rise.
The Senate changed the act on aid for energy-intensive businesses worth PLN 4.8bn. The money will go proportionally to all eligible businesses, without competitions. The act returns to the Sejm, and the Presidential Palace is signalling a possible veto.

Electric car drivers without a driveway will pay less to charge on the street. From spring 2027, the government will spend £100 million on cheaper lower-powered chargers. The average saving is to be around £150 a year.
On 30–31 October Marco Rubio hosts G20 foreign ministers in Atlanta. Poland is represented by Radosław Sikorski, Russia by Sergei Lavrov, who is under US sanctions. The meeting prepares December’s summit in Miami, and the US wants Poland to become a permanent G20 member.
